Treasurer's Office

The office of the Treasurer is established by the Constitution of Virginia. As a Constitutional Officer, the Treasurer collects state and local funds, is responsible for the safekeeping of these funds and accounts for the disbursement of local funds.

The Richmond County Treasurer’s Office bills and collects Real Estate and Personal Property taxes. Other collections include dog registration fees, building and zoning permit fees and state taxes.

The Treasurer’s Office’s mission is to treat all of its customers courteously and fairly, while maintaining exceptional professionalism and ensuring fiscal integrity.
