Richmond County Sheriff's Office has 7 patrol deputies. 1 investigator, 2 sergeants, and 1 animal control officer who patrol all 210 square miles of the county.  Deputies also provide court security, serve papers, answer emergency calls, enforce laws, conduct investigations, and transport prisoners.

Sergeant

Sergeant Reed joined the department in October 2000, became sergeant in September 2006.  He has been in law enforcement for 13 years and is originally from the Hanover County area. 

K. Amos
School Resource Officer

Deputy Amos joined the Sheriff's Office in July 1980.  Since joining the department, he has worked as a patrol deputy, and worked as the department crime scene investigator.  He attended the Forensic Science Academy in 1994.  Most recently he was assigned to the Northern Neck Regional Technical School as a School Resource Officer in September 2005. 
A. Conkle
Deputy
Deputy Conkle joined the Richmond County Sheriff's Office in August 2005, prior to that he worked  with the Virginia Department of Corrections.  He grew up in Chincoteague, Virginia and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. 
M. Taylor
Investigator
Deputy Taylor has been working in law enforcement since 1996.  He joined the Richmond County Sheriff's Office in June of 2005.  Some of his accomplishments include graduating from the Forensic Science Academy.
T. Lowery
Deputy
Deputy Lowery is a native from Richmond County, but spent 3 years in the United States Air Force.  He spent most of his time in the Utah area and 1 tour in the Iraq war, in the country of Qatar.  He joined the department in December 2006.

B. English
Deputy
Deputy English joined the Richmond County Sheriff's Office in January 2008.  He has been in law enforcement since 1981.  Prior to working with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, he was employed with the Westmoreland County Sheriff's Officer where he served as a shift patrol sergeant.

Officer Lindberg  joined the Richmond County Sheriff's Office as Animal Control Officer in September 2008.
