Located in the Old Jail (1872) on the Courthouse Green. Collects, preserves and tells the Story of Richmond County from prehistoric to present. Permanent and Special Exhibits include Rappahannock Indians of Richmond County, Declaration of Independence Signer Francis Lightfoot Lee, February Black History Month, and October Archaeology month observances, and First Sunday in December Holiday Tree Illumination. Gift Shop includes items related to Richmond County and the Northern Neck. Richmond County Information Center. Member of Virginia Association of Museums, Northern Neck Tourism Council. Open Wednesday - Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. February through Mid-December. Group tours by arrangement. |
