PUBLIC NOTICE – BOARD OF SUPERVISORS  

In accordance with Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended and pursuant to Section 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended, the Richmond County Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice that a Public Hearing will be held starting at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the Richmond County Public Meeting Room, 101 Court Circle, Warsaw, Virginia 22572.  The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider the following applications:  

1. James Russell, 11 Hales Point Road, Farnham, Virginia  22460, has requested special exception approval (Section 2-2-2A-13) in order to operate an antique/consignment shop in an existing structure located at 11 Hales Point Road.  The parcel in question is zoned Agricultural (A-1) and is further identified as Tax Map 38 parcel 20.
   

2. To amend and re-enact Section 2-13-12-F of the Richmond County Zoning Ordinance regarding Final Development Plans.  The Chesapeake Bay Program Phase III Review in accordance with Section 9 VAC 10-20-191 requires the Zoning Ordinance to state the following language: “Plat notation of the requirement for pump-out and 100% reserve drainfield sites for onsite sewage treatment systems, when applicable.”
   

3. To amend and re-enact Article VI, Administration and Enforcement, Sections 5 and 7 of the Richmond County Subdivision Ordinance regarding requirements for preliminary plats and supporting data and requirements for final plats.  The Chesapeake Bay Program Phase III Review in accordance with Section 9 VAC 10-20-191 requires the Subdivision Ordinance to include the following:

            7. The Delineation of the Resource Protection Area boundary, including the 100 ft. buffer component;

             8. Notation of the requirement for pump-out and 100% reserve drainfield sites for onsite sewage treatment systems when applicable;

Section 7 – Requirements for Final Plat

            13. The Delineation of the Resource Protection Area boundary, including the 100 ft. buffer component;

             14. Notation of the requirement for pump-out and 100% reserve drainfield sites for onsite sewage treatment systems when applicable.

Documents regarding the above application are available for public review in the Office of the Land Use Administrator, County Administrative Building, Warsaw, Virginia.

       PUBLIC NOTICE – WETLANDS BOARD

Pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, notice is hereby given to all interested parties that the Richmond County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., in the Richmond County Public meeting room, Warsaw, Virginia, in order to consider the following application for a Richmond County Wetlands Permit:  

1.      Albert R. Jones, 428 Little Florida Road, Farnham, Virginia 22460, has applied for permission to place 155’ of rip-rap revetment and 860’ of rip-rap revetment along his Farnham Creek shoreline.  The property in question is parcel 90, tax map 42. (VMRC#12-0611)             

All interested parties will be afforded the opportunity to be heard and are requested to submit a concise written statement and/or attend the Public Hearing to offer oral comments.  The aforementioned application is on file in the office of the Land Use Administrator.
